Phoenix Open Postseason Play as No. 4 Seed at MSC Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland University has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2025 Mid-South Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament, conference officials announced Saturday afternoon.

The tournament will take place at Bowling Green Arena beginning Thursday, November 13, with three quarterfinal matchups. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, November 14, followed by the championship match on Saturday, November 15.

Cumberland (24-13, 6-6 MSC) will open tournament play against fifth-seeded Bethel (Tenn.) (10-15, 4-8) at noon CT on Thursday. The winner of that match will advance to face top-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) (32-0, 12-0), who earned an automatic bye into the semifinals after completing an undefeated regular season.

In other quarterfinal action, No. 2 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (28-9, 9-3) will meet No. 7 Georgetown (Ky.) (4-22, 0-12) at 3 p.m. CT, while No. 3 Campbellsville (Ky.) (21-13, 8-4) squares off with No. 6 Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) (18-15, 3-9) at 6 p.m. CT. The winners of those two matches will meet in Friday's second semifinal at 6 p.m. CT.

The semifinals are set for Friday, November 14, with Cumberlands facing the Cumberland/Bethel winner at 3 p.m. CT, followed by the Lindsey Wilson/Georgetown vs. Campbellsville/Freed-Hardeman winner at 6 p.m. CT.

The championship match is slated for Saturday, November 15, with the winner earning the MSC's automatic bid to the 2025 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship later this month.
