Phoenix Cheerleading Place Fifth and Third in Rounds at Tiger Invitational

GEORGETOWN, Ky.--Cumberland Cheer competed in two rounds today at the Tiger Invitational finishing in fifth in round one and improving to third in round two. 

University of the Cumberlands led the field after round one with a 94.05, followed by host Georgetown College in second at 87.23 and Spring Arbor in third at 86.11. Marian placed fourth with an 85.00, just ahead of Cumberland in fifth at 79.55. Lindsey Wilson College (70.30), Midway University (68.63), and Brescia University (58.00) rounded out the standings.

Cumberland Cheer turned in an improved performance in round two of the Tiger Invitational, finishing third overall with a score of 77.23.

The University of the Cumberlands once again led the field with an 87.33, while Spring Arbor University followed at 82.71. Cumberland placed ahead of Marian in fourth at 76.36. Midway finished in fifth at 70.00 followed by Lindsey Wilson College in sixth at 68.68, and Brescia in seventh at 68.20.

The Phoenix will compete next Saturday at Lindsey Wilson as the Blue Raiders host the Raider Invitational.
