Phoenix Earn Runner-Up, Third Place Finishes at Raider Rumble

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland Cheerleading delivered a strong performance at the Raider Rumble, earning a runner-up finish in round one and placing third in round two against a competitive field.

In the opening round, the Phoenix posted a score of 80.500 to claim second place, finishing behind only Cumberlands. The Patriots posted a score of 90.80 to claim the title. Midway took third place at 73.75 followed by Lindsey Wilson in fourth at 70.80. Brescia rounded out the scores in fifth with a 49.60.

Cumberland returned to the mat in round two and recorded a score of 70.900 to finish third overall. The University of the Cumberlands again finished in first with a score of 93.60. Georgetown took second place at 85.90. Midway finished in fourth place at 68.85 with Lindsey Wilson and Brescia rounding out the scoring at 60.85 and 42.00.

Cumberland will look to take the momentum into the Mid-South Conference Championships set to be hosted on March 14th in Bowling Green.
