Proctor Powers His Way to MSC Baseball Player of the Week

LEBANON, Tenn.--Senior infielder Cohl Proctor has been named the Mid-South Conference Baseball Player of the Week after powering Cumberland to a 4-1 record with a big week swinging the bat.

The Hardinsburg, Kentucky native hit a blistering .579 (11-for-19) across five games, blasting three home runs, scoring seven while driving in 12 RBI. Proctor slugged 1.211 for the week and reached base at a .600 clip, tallying five extra-base hits and 23 total bases.

Proctor's biggest performance came in Cumberland's 20-1 victory over St. Francis (IL) on Feb. 14, when he delivered a perfect 4-for-4 outing with two home runs and six RBI. He accounted for 10 total bases in the win and was a catalyst in the Phoenix's explosive offensive effort.

Earlier in the week, Proctor went 3-for-5 with a home run, triple and four RBI in a 20-8 road win at Tennessee Southern. He also added a three-hit performance in a 10-7 victory over St. Francis, finishing the week with three or more hit games in three of five contests.

Proctor earns his first Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor of the season and of his career. He is also the first Phoenix to earn the honor in 2026.
