LEBANON, Tenn.--Freshman Gustav Fredriksson has been named Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week after an impressive showing at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite, earning All-Tournament honors with a top-five finish.

The Katrineholm, Sweden native tied for fifth in a competitive 43-player field, finishing even-par for the tournament on the challenging 7,257-yard, par-72 layout. Fredriksson posted rounds of 76, 68, and 72, highlighted by a stellar second round four-under 68.

Fredriksson tallied nine birdies across the three-round event. His second-round 68 was one of the lowest rounds of the tournament and vaulted him into contention heading into the final day and was the second lowest round of the tournament. 

This is the first Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week honor of the season for Fredriksson and of his career.
