Daveina Watson is victorious in Shot Put as Women's Track and Field Wrap up Day Two of Lee Invitational

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - - Women's Track and Field wrapped up day two of the Lee Fast Break Invitational on Saturday afternoon. 

Daveina Watson won the women's shot put on Saturday afternoon as she threw the fourth furthest in the NAIA this season with a distance of 14.27m and gives her the A standard. Rita Francis placed 22nd. 

Avery Crockett finished 25th in the discus as she threw 22.59m. 

Leesa Mutandwa placed sixth with a season best in the 400m and had the second fastest time among NAIA competitors. Mutandwa also came in 17th in the 200m with a time of 26.54 which was the fourth best time across NAIA competitors. 

Channon Cundiff 61st in the 800m, while Jenna Towles finished just behind her in 64th place. 

Track and Field will be back in action when they challenge in the Mid-South Conference Championships on May 3 and 4.
