Fernandes and Bouhlel Earn All-Conference Honors as Postseason Play Begins

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - - The Mid-South Conference men's tennis year-end awards were announced by league officials this morning, seeing the Phoenix swoop two All-Conference honors.

The first representative for the Phoenix on the Second Team was Arthur Fernandes. The Brazilian posted a singles record of 13-5, typically playing in the Phoenix No.2 and No.3 spot. Fernandes was also excellent in doubles with a combined record of 11-4, despite having to play with three separate doubles partners. Arne Sohmer was the freshman's best partner on paper as the pairing went 10-2 overall going into the conference tournament.

The second member of the Phoenix men's tennis team that was represented on the All-Conference Team was Mohamed Bouhlel. Splitting his time between courts two, three and four, the freshman went 10-7 overall with his best efforts on court two, as he went 4-1 in the penultimate spot.

Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Lev Sholosh headlines the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Year-End Awards. Sholosh was named the MSC Men's Tennis Player of the Year by a vote of the conference coaches.

Lindsey Wilson's Facundo Grasso was voted as the MSC Men's Tennis Freshman of the Year, while Lindsey Wilson's Eric Bernabeu is the MSC Head Coach of the Year, and Campbellsville's (Ky.) Aurelian Arlot is the MSC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Bernabeu earns his second MSC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year honor after leading the Blue Raiders to a 13-2 record and the MSC regular-season title. He was also named the coach of the year in 2025. Arlot earns his first assistant coach of the year honor of his career. The MSC head coaches voted on the coaching awards.

Sholosh and Grasso are two of the seven-man first team all-conference list selected by the conference coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. An additional seven were selected as second-team all-conference.
