LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland University men's golfers Gustav Fredriksson, Patrick Chesnut, and Harry Caygill have been named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced.

The prestigious academic honor recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the course. To be eligible, recipients must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 78.0, own a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA, and be in good academic and athletic standing.

Fredriksson turned in one of the top seasons in the Mid-South Conference, posting a 72.4 scoring average over 28 rounds. The Sweden native captured the 2026 Mid-South Conference individual championship while recording a victory and six top-15 finishes during the year. He advanced to the NAIA National Championship and finished the season ranked No. 77 nationally by Scoreboard Powered by Clippd en route to First Team All-Mid-South Conference honors.

Chesnut earned All-America Scholar recognition after compiling a 74.3 scoring average across 26 rounds. He posted top-10 finishes at both the Currahee Club Invitational and Patriot Invite while adding another top-15 finish at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite. Chesnut finished the season ranked No. 227 nationally. Chestnut earned one MSC Golfer of the Week award last season and now serves as the team's assistant coach.

Caygill rounded out Cumberland's trio of honorees with a 76.6 adjusted scoring average over 16 rounds. His season was highlighted by an 18th-place finish at the Currahee Club Invitational, while also competing in every major event for the Phoenix during the 2025-26 campaign.
