Cumberland Track & Field Unveils their 2025 Schedule

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland University Track & Field is excited to announce its 2025 schedule, featuring a mix of competitive meets and championship opportunities across the indoor and outdoor seasons.

The indoor season kicks off on Sunday, January 5, with the Ed Temple Classic in Nashville, Tennessee hosted by Tennessee State University. The team will remain in Nashville the following weekend for back-to-back competitions at Vanderbilt University on January 10 and 11. Later in the month, Cumberland will compete in the Music City Invite, held January 17-18, before heading to Louisville, Kentucky, for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 31 and February 1.

The indoor slate concludes with two marquee events, the Mid-South Conference Championships on February 16 in Louisville and the NAIA Indoor National Championships from February 27 to March 1. 

The outdoor season begins with the Lee University Invitational on March 21-22 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The team will then head to Birmingham, Alabama, for a two-day meet at UAB on March 28-29. The Phoenix continue their outdoor campaign at the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville on April 4-5, followed by the Lee University Fast Break meet on April 11-12 in Cleveland.

Postseason competition begins with the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, set for May 4-5 at a location to be announced. Cumberland will look to fine-tune performances at the Last Chance Meet on May 10, hosted by Lee University for one final chance to qualify and tune up, before closing out the season at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships, scheduled for May 21-23.

The Phoenix women finished in third place in both the Indoor and Outdoor NAIA National Championships last season marking a program-best finish at both events.
