Weather Shortens Music City Collegiate

DICKSON, Tenn.--Cumberland men's golf dropped three spots to finish in 12th place as weather shortened the Music City Collegiate to 36 holes, playing just six today.

The Phoenix "A" team finished in 12th place of a loaded field where seven teams finished even or under par. Cumberland shot a 282 in round one and finished with a 297 to total 579 strokes. The "B" team shot a 310 and a 303 to total 613 shots and finish in 18th place.

Dalton State won the event at 19-under as a team. Lindsey Wilson finished in second place at 14-under and Northwestern Ohio took third at 11-under. Point finished fourth at seven-under followed by IU East and Indiana Wesleyan tied for fifth at three-under.

Gustav Fredriksson finished tied for seventh place at five-under par. He finished his second round with an even 72 with 139 strokes.

Carter Stroup tied for 47th with 146 strokes. He finished his second round with a three-over 75. Patrick Chesnut was one stroke behind Stroup with a 147 strokes. Chesnut shot a 76 in round two. Harry Caygill was one stroke behind Chesnut at 148 shots finishing with a 74. Bailey Rousseau rounded out the "A" teams efforts tying for 72nd place at 151 strokes. Rousseau shot a 78 in his second round to total 151 strokes.

For the Phoenix "B" team, Garrett Maria lead the way finishing at one-over par for the tournament. Maria shot a 73 in round two to finish at 145 strokes. Luke Carroll tied for 83rd finishing with a 75 and 154 total shots. Carlos Diaz finished in 89th with a 155 shooting a 77 in round two.

Egan Hadelman finished in 98th at 162 shots and Tiger Houston finished in 100th place at 171. Competing individually, Josh Taylor carded a 75 in his final round to tie for 72nd place.

Cumberland will return to action on October 27 and 28th at the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview at Bowling Green Country Club.
