Connelly Earns MSC Bowler of the Week After Leading Phoenix to Runner-Up Finish

LEBANON, Tenn.-- Cumberland senior Gracie Connelly has been named the Mid-South Conference Bowler of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday, after a standout performance at the Midwest Collegiate Classic this past weekend.

Connelly, a native of Alabaster, Ala., was outstanding throughout the event, finishing third individually out of 324 competitors with a 207.2 scoring average across five games, totaling 1,036 pins. Her consistent play helped guide the Phoenix to a runner-up team finish in a loaded 42-team field, advancing through bracket play all the way to the championship match. Connelly's tenth frame in the second round of the knockouts allowed the Phoenix to push past Lawrence Tech and reach the finals.

This marks Connelly's second MSC weekly honor of her career and her first of the 2025-26 season.

The Phoenix will be bowling again on October 25 in Smyrna at the MSC Greater Nashville Open.
