Cheerleading Posts Highest Score in Program History at MSC Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland cheerleading posts the program's best score at the Mid-South Conference Championships en route to a fourth place finish. 

Georgetown College took home the 2025 Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship title on Friday night, posting an overall score of 93.53 to secure first place at the competition.

The Tigers led the way from start to finish, earning a prelim round score of 93.15 before slightly improving in the final round with a 93.66. Their consistency paid off as they edged out the University of the Cumberlands, which finished in second place with an overall score of 88.87.

Midway University rounded out the top three, posting an 86.81 overall score after earning an 86.67 in the prelim round and an 86.85 in the final round. Cumberland University placed fourth, finishing with an overall score of 84.23 after posting an 84.84 in the prelims and 84.03 in the final round.

Pikeville closely followed in fifth place with a total score of 83.79, while Campbellsville (68.32), Brescia (63.41), and Lindsey Wilson (60.13) completed the standings.

After the competition was complete, freshman Isaiah Duty earned First Team All-Conference honors.

The Phoenix will now prepare for the NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida from April 9-13.
