Chiarillo earns MSC Women's Bowler of the Week

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland sophomore Jennifer Chiarillo has been named the Mid-South Conference Bowler of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday, following an impressive showing at the Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic on January 17-18.

Chiarillo, a native of Melbourne, Fla., delivered a strong performance against one of the largest fields of the season, finishing eighth individually out of 403 competitors. She totaled 1,056 pins over five games, posting an excellent 211.2 scoring average throughout the event.

Behind Chiarillo's efforts, the Phoenix secured an 11th-place team finish in a deep 55-team field, competing against top programs from across the country.

This weekly honor is the first of Chiarillo's career and she joins her teammate Gracie Connelly to earn the honor this season.

The Phoenix will be bowling again this weekend in Louisville at the Mid-South Conference 3rd and 4th event this season.
