Men's Tennis Fall to No. 22 in NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll

LEBANON, Tenn. - - The Cumberland men's tennis team fell to No. 22 in the most recent NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches Top 25, as was announced by the league office this morning.

Cumberland sits at 2-2 since the previous Top 25 Coaches Poll, taking a pair of wins over Indiana Wesleyan and Campbellsville. The Phoenix played Wesleyan to a 4-1 clinch victory in Pulaski, winning the doubles point and all singles courts that were played to a finish, minus court one.

The Phoenix then followed that victory up with a 6-1 victory over Campbellsville to play their first match in conference, as well as their first match at home in Lebanon. Cumberland then ran into a pair of ranked teams who they were unable to make their way past, that being the No. 24 ranked Arizona Christian Firestorm and the No. 8 ranked Cumberlands Patriots.

Marian (Ind.) and Huntington (Ind.) made big jumps in the March 11 edition of the 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25, as Marian climbed five spots into the top 15, while Huntington is up four to No. 12. Cumberlands (Ky.) also made an upward move, from a seventh-place tie to No. 5, while Coastal Georgia is the only new team in this week's poll, at No. 18.

Georgia Gwinnett is atop the poll for a second-consecutive release, this time as a unanimous No. 1 in an unchanged top four. The next poll will be released on March 25, at NAIA.org.

Cumberland will continue conference action this weekend in McKenzie, taking on the Bethel Wildcats.
