Men's Tennis Drop to No.24 in Latest Poll

LEBANON, Tenn. - - The Cumberland men's tennis team dropped to No. 24 in this week's NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches Top 25, as was announced by the league office this morning.

Since the previous poll the Phoenix have gone without a win, though they've gone head to head with tough competition at the division one level and NAIA both. In conference play the Phoenix dropped a razor thin contest to the Bethel Wildcats, 4-2, before then taking on a pair of D1 opponents.

Against both Alabama A&M and Austin Peay, the Phoenix managed to take several points off their opponents, but their foes proved too much. Cumberland fell 4-3 to the Bulldogs and 5-2 to the Governors this past weekend.

The top four remained unchanged and Georgia Gwinnett was unanimous at No. 1, highlighting the fourth edition of the 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll No new teams entered the Top 25, but one - Huntington (Ind.) - cracked the top 10, up two spots from No. 12. Two teams moved up three spots, as Coastal Georgia moved to No. 15 and Arizona Christian to No. 21. The next regular-season poll is set for April 8.

Cumberland will continue conference action tomorrow afternoon, taking on Freed-Hardeman at home.
