Phoenix Open Nationals with 4x400 Relay Effort

GAINESVILLE, Fla.--Cumberland's Men's Track & Field team opened competition at the NAIA Indoor National Championships on Thursday, represented by the Phoenix 4x400-meter relay squad.

The quartet of J'Noy Davis, Veron Ifill, Dinkon Sinisterra, and Logan Istre clocked a time of 3:18.30 in Heat 4 of the preliminaries. Competing against a strong national field, the Phoenix placed 24th overall and did not advance to the finals.

Cumberland returns to action Saturday when Oghenetega Orekevwie takes to the runway in the triple jump, looking to make an impact for the Phoenix in the field events.
