Phoenix Wrap Up Indoor Campaign at National Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla.--Cumberland track & field team closed out competition at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships on Saturday with jumper Oghenetega Orekevwie representing the Phoenix in the triple jump.

Orekevwie competed in a field of 27 national qualifiers and recorded a mark of 14.35 meters on his best attempt of the day. The sophomore finished 20th overall in his first career appearance at the national meet, capping the indoor season.

The Phoenix will now turn their attention to the outdoor season. The first outdoor meet is set March 20 at Lee University.
