Hall of Fame
Before coming to Cumberland, Douglas played baseball at Vanderbilt University and later coached the team. In his coaching career at Vanderbilt he produced the 1920 championship team and was a prominent member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At Cumberland he served the Director of Athletics, as well as both baseball and football coach. He completed his legal training at Cumberland and went on to become a judge, serving the Circuit Court of Davidson County.
